Tonight's Game-- The RedHawks begin a four-game series in Nashville tonight at 7:05 p.m. as they make their third and final stop on their current 11-game road trip.

Last Game-- Round Rock Express reserve infielder Greg Miclat drove in three runs and former longtime Astros pitcher Roy Oswalt went six strong innings as the Express sunk the RedHawks 4-2 Sunday night. The game was scoreless until the third inning. After working a 13-pitch at-bat, Scott Moore singled up the middle to score Jimmy Paredes and give the RedHawks the lead. Miclat led off the bottom of the inning with his first home run of the season to tie the game. Later in the frame, Brad Nelson delivered a two-out RBI double to give Round Rock the lead at 2-1. Angel Sanchez tied the game with a two-out RBI single in the sixth. In bottom of the inning, Round Rock strung three straight two-out hits together, capped by a two-run, broken-bat double by Miclat to take the lead for good. Making his fourth minor league start since signing with the Rangers in late May, Oswalt (1-1) threw exactly 100 pitches over six innings, 70 for strikes. He allowed two runs and six hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Paul Clemens (8-5) got through six innings for just the second time in eight road starts, but took the loss. He allowed four runs and season-high 13 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- Wes Musick takes the mound, looking to continue his strong 2012 campaign across the Astros minor league system...Musick has played at three different levels this season, going a combined 4-4 with a 2.84 ERA over 13 appearances (10 starts)...Despite allowing just one unearned run over five innings Wednesday in New Orleans, Musick was tagged with the loss as the RedHawks were shutout, 3-0...Although Musick tends to be very efficient, he did labor a bit against the Zephyrs, throwing 100 pitches...In five starts with the RedHawks, Musick has allowed two earned runs or less four times...His first Triple-A win came against Nashville in OKC on May 31...After surrendering a run in the first inning, Musick held the Sounds scoreless in the following five frames, throwing 85 pitches with 60 for strikes...Sounds pitcher Claudio Vargas is back in action after a brief retirement...After posting an ERA over 11 with Colorado Springs last year, Vargas decided to retire last June...However, he began playing with the Vaqueros Laguna of the Mexican League before the Brewers signed him on May 16...Vargas has made six starts with the Sounds, and over his last three starts, he is 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA...Although he spent parts of three seasons with the Brewers, Vargas had never pitched for Nashville until this season...In 217 career Major League games (114 starts), Vargas is 48-40 with a 4.83 ERA, appearing with the Expos/Nationals, Diamondbacks, Mets, Brewers, and Dodgers.

Back and Forth-- Over the last nine games, the RedHawks have alternated wins and losses each day.

Resting Up-- The RedHawks are 3-0 after a scheduled day off and 6-1 overall after not playing a game the previous day.

Super Snyder-- With an eighth-inning single on Sunday, Brad Snyder extended his current hitting streak to 15 games--the best by a RedHawk this season. During the streak he is hitting .393 (22x56) with two home runs and 10 RBIs. He is the only player in Triple-A with at least 10 homers and 10 stolen bases.

Waiting Until the Last Minute-- Snyder has extended his hitting streak in his last at-bat five times in his last six games.

Angel in the Infield-- After going 3-for-4 Sunday, shortstop Angel Sanchez is hitting a team-best .420 with 11 RBIs in June. He now has five three-hit games this month and has raised his season average from .256 to .302 since the calendar turned past May.

Hessman The Hammer-- Mike Hessman hit his 19th homer of the season Saturday night. Since May 15, his 14 home runs are more than anyone else in the Minors. He is also tied with Las Vegas' Travis d'Arnaud for second-most RBIs in the PCL during that time with 33. (Reno's Ryan Wheeler has 35.)

Barnes' Big Bat-- For just the third time in 20 games since joining the RedHawks--and for just the second time when he started--Brandon Barnes went hitless. He's hitting .356 and already has eight multi-hit games.

Strike Zone Stability-- After issuing 49 walks over a nine-game stretch, the RedHawks have not surrendered a free pass in back-to-back games. Going back to Friday, they have not given up a walk in 20 straight innings.

Telling a Storey-- After having to make a couple of spot starts for the RedHawks, reliever Mickey Storey has allowed one run over his last 12.1 innings, with six hits and 11 strikeouts. After giving up a solo home run to New Orleans' Nick Green on June 10, he has retired the last 14 hitters he's faced.

Against the Sounds-- The RedHawks have won an astounding 11 of 12 games against Nashville, including the last nine straight...In their only loss on April 11, they even led in the ninth inning...The RedHawks have actually been outhit by the Sounds, but have outscored Nashville 52-27...OKC's pitching staff has posted a tremendous 2.14 ERA and has a 79/18 strikeout-to-walk ratio...They have held the Sounds to two runs or less eight times...Nashville is the first American Conference team the RedHawks conclude their season series with.
