Four Oklahoma errors led to five unearned runs on Sunday afternoon as the Salt Lake Bees gained a split of the four-game series with a 7-2 win at Franklin Covey Field.
RedHawks starter Edinson Volquez (3-4) struck out 10 Bees in 5 2/3 innings but surrended all five unearned runs and six runs total. El Reno, Okla., resident Steven Shell (1-1) tossed seven strong innings for his first Triple-A win.
Kendry Morales paced an eight-hit attack for Salt Lake by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Nick Trzesniak went 3-for-4 with one RBIs to lead a 10-hit RedHawks attack.
The RedHawks open a four game series at Colorado Springs on Monday at 7:05 p.m. MDT. Lefty John Rheinecker is due to start for Oklahoma.
