
Redbirds ready for final weekend

MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds return home from a 13-game road trip on Friday to begin their final series of the regular season.
The âBirds welcome Oklahoma City to AutoZone Park for a five-game series over Labor Day Weekend. Memphis is in the playoff hunt for the first time since winning the Pacific Coast League championship in 2000. MLB Network will be at the park on Friday and Saturday with games in the plaza. On Saturday the âBirds and RedHawks will play a doubleheader with two scheduled seven-inning games beginning at 6:05 p.m. The Comcast Triple Play Deal is available for Friday's or Saturday's games only online at memphisredbirds.com. The deal is one ticket, one hot dog and one soda for $10.
The final fireworks show of the year is set for Sunday, September 6. The Cardinals-themed fireworks show presented by Wachovia Bank follows the 6:35 p.m. game. The second annual Rob Edgerton FansFirst Awards will be presented and the Screaming Eagles Parachute Demonstration Team from the 101st Airborne Division will entertain fans prior to the fireworks show.
The final day of the regular season is Monday, September 7 with the first 1500 fans through the gates receiving Colby Rasmus bobble heads sponsored by Kroger and Kraft Foods. Fans can also enjoy King Cotton Dollar Dog Day followed by post-game catch in the outfield.
