MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis won their seventh straight game with a 3-1 victory over New Orleans Monday night at AutoZone Park.

Redbirds starter Lance Lynn earned his third straight win in record fashion. The former Ole Miss Rebel equaled a season-best with 11 strikeouts and tied Larry Luebbers franchise record for wins in a season notching his 13th victory of the year. Lynn allowed one run on five hits before giving way to the bullpen, which turned in three scoreless innings to preserve the win. Josh Kinney nailed down his 14th save of the year working around a leadoff double in the ninth. New Orleans starter Tom Mastny took the loss giving up two runs on four hits in six innings of work.

The 'Birds offense received a jolt from an unexpected source with Matt Pagnozzi hitting his first home run of the year in the fifth inning, a two-run shot that put the home team on top. Ruben Gotay added a solo blast in the seventh for Memphis. Danny Richar provided the Zephyrs lone run with a home run in the fourth inning.

Memphis hosts New Orleans tomorrow night with game time scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Redbirds send Oneli Perez to the mound against Z's lefty Wes Whisler.
