Lance Lynn struck-out eleven Zephyrs in six innings pitched to give the Memphis Redbirds a 3-1 win over the Zephyrs in front of 4,273 fans at Autozone Park. The win is the 13th of the season for the 23 year old, Lynn. Z's second baseman Danny Richar drilled a solo home run to centerfield to give the Z's a 1-0 lead in the fourth. Memphis answered with a two run shot off the bat of Matt Pagnozzi in the fifth inning. Ruben Gotay also homered and the Redbirds continued their hot streak. Memphis has won six in a row and trail the Iowa Cubs by a half game in the pennant race. The loss is the Zephyrs fifth in six games and have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

Game Notes: Brian Barden extended his hit streak to 15 games, a season best for the Zephyrs. The Z's are 2-8 on the 13 game road trip and have dropped 15 of their last 20 games.
