OMAHA, Neb. - An 11-run third inning fueled the Omaha Royals to a 23-5 victory over the Round Rock Express Monday night at Rosenblatt Stadium. The Express (55-82) are riding a six-game losing streak, while Omaha (75-62) leads the season series 9-4, taking four of the last five games.

The 23 runs were the most runs the Express have surrendered in a game this season, while the 11 runs were the most in an inning. Six Omaha players had three or more hits in the game.

That made a winner of Blaine Hardy (3-5), who yielded five runs on seven hits in 5.1 innings. Hardy finished four walks and one strikeout. Gabriel Hernandez hurled 2.2 innings, giving up no runs on hits with one walk and a strikeout. Victor Marte worked a scoreless ninth frame, while allowing two hits.

Round Rock starter Andy Van Hekken (7-8) had his worst outing of the season, giving up 10 runs on nine hits over 2.0 innings. Gary Majewski relieved Van Hekken and didn't fare that much better, allowing eight runs on nine hits over 2.0 innings. Wesley Wright tossed a scoreless fifth frame, surrendering a hit. Roy Corcoran worked the sixth, giving up two runs on one hit. Casey Daigle worked the seventh, giving up three runs on four hits. Round Rock catcher Brian Esposito tossed a scoreless eighth, while allowing one hit.

The Express were led offensively by J.B. Shuck, who was 4-for-5 at the dish. Edwin Maysonet tagged his second homer of the season in the second inning, with Collin DeLome blasted his 17th round-tripper of the year in the sixth.

Drew Locke stroked his 36th double of the season, which places him tied for second in that category in Express Triple-A history. He now has 57 extra-base hits for the year, which ranks him tied for sixth.

Round Rock and Omaha continue their four-game series Tuesday with a 7:05 p.m. CDT first pitch at Rosenblatt Stadium. Round Rock will send right-hander Jordan Lyles (0-1, 4.37 ERA) to the hill, countered by Anthony Lerew (7-4, 2.72) for the Royals.
