
Red Wings Send Goalie Elliott Back to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Detroit Red Wings sent goaltender Jason Elliott back to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League Thursday.
Elliott was recalled Wednesday under emergency conditions for Manny Legace, who has been bothered by a sore right knee. The 26-year-old Elliott has had five different stints with the Red Wings this season but has yet to appear in a regular-season game.
Elliott went 11-16-7 with a 2.56 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in 42 games with Cincinnati this season. He is 1-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .946 save percentage in one post-season appearance.
