
Cloutier Assigned by Minnesota

HOUSTON, TX - G Frederic Cloutier has been assigned to the Aeros by the Minnesota Wild (NHL). Cloutier had played the 2001-02 season with the Louisiana IceGators (ECHL).
A training camp attendee with the Aeros this season, Cloutier (20) signed with the Wild November 23, 2001. In 37 starts with the IceGators this season, Cloutier tallied a 28-5-3 record, with an ECHL-best 1.84 GAA, .945 SV%. A native of St.-Honore, Quebec, Cloutier set a Louisiana club record with seven shutouts this season. For his efforts, Cloutier was named the ECHL's Most Valuable Player, as well as ECHL Goaltender of the Year.
Cloutier will back up netminder Jamie McLennan tonight when the Aeros host the Utah Grizzlies in Game One of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Game time is set for 7:00 PM at the Compaq Center.
