
Gernander to Throw out First Pitch at Rock Cats Game

Hartford, April 11, 2002 -- Hartford Wolf Pack Captain Ken Gernander will be on hand at the New Britain Rock Cats' game tonight at New Britain Stadium against the Norwich Navigators (6:35 PM start). Gernander will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, to kick off this "battle of Connecticut" and help promote the beginning of the American Hockey League playoffs.
Wolf Pack personnel will also be staffing a table at the ball game, distributing information about Wolf Pack playoff and season ticket options. The Wolf Pack open a best-of-five Calder Cup playoff series vs. the Manchester Monarchs this Saturday, April 13, with a 7:05 game at the Hartford Civic Center. Game Two of the series will be Sunday at the Civic Center, with faceoff at 4:05.
Tickets for these first two playoff games (Games "A" and "B") are on sale now at the Hartford Civic Center box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
