Rockford, Illinois: The Florence Freedom were coming off an 8-1 homestand, looking to bring that success on the road.

The Freedom jumped out to a 4-0 lead, scoring two in the second, and two in the third off of Riverhawk starter John Richards. Richards only pitched two and 2/3rd innings. The Riverhawks battled back, taking the 6-4 lead in the fifth, but the Freedom chipped away at the lead. Scoring one run in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings, taking the 6-5 lead. Freedom outfielder Darrin Kinsolving had the RBI tying double, and the hero from Friday, Wally Quigg, came up big again with the gamewinning sac fly, and a spectacular defensive play, diving for a ball in the dirt, and tossing it over to Trevor Hall to retire the last batter.

Remember, the Freedom don't return home to Champion Window Field until Monday July 18th. Until then, we have trips in Rockford, then the All-Star break, and then we stay in Washington after the break to take on the Wild Things.
