Maine Celtics News Release

White Plains, NY - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, took a 2 game lead in the Atlantic Division with a dominant 126-88 win at Westchester Sunday evening. The Red Claws (25-15) won their fourth straight game, and 11th in 13. Today's 38-point victory is the largest margin of victory in Red Claws franchise history.

Maine was once again led by Coty Clarke, with 22 points on 9-16 shooting, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. Tim Frazier finished one assist shy of yet another triple-double, with 18 points (8-9 FG), 11 rebounds and 9 assists.

Omari Johnson added a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards, while Corey Walden scored 13 for Maine. Malcolm Miller and Levi Randolph each scored 10 points. Marcus Thornton, a second round draft pick by the Boston Celtics, added 13 points on 4-7 shooting, and R.J. Hunter, on assignment from the Celtics, added 7 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

It was a wire-to-wire win for Maine. The Red Claws jumped out to an early 10-2 lead on a Clarke driving lay-up, and they were off to the races. Frazier's rebound and runner got Maine's lead to ten, and Westchester would never get any closer. Maine led 38-24 after one quarter, and 64-46 at halftime.

In the second half, Frazier used the third quarter to start his scoring. Frazier and the Red Claws' offense were relentless, as Maine opened a 30-point advantage and never looked back. In the end, eight Red Claws finished in double-digits scoring, led by Clarke with 22. No Westchester starter finished with 10 points. The Knicks were led by Ra'shad James with 14 points, and Keith Wright with 13. Jimmer Fredette, back from his GATORADE Call-Up with the New York Knicks, scored 12 points on 5-14 shooting in 32 minutes off the bench.

The Red Claws return home for three straight home games this Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale by calling 207-210-6655 or visiting MaineRedClaws.com.
