December 5, 2011 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they have claimed 6-4 forward Maze Stallworth from the Available Player Pool. Stallworth is expected to join the Red Claws in time for the team's road game at Springfield on Thursday.

The 6-4 forward out of Morehead State University is entering his first professional season. The all-time 3-point leader at MSU, Stallworth was drafted in the 7th round of the 2011 NBA Development League Draft by the Tulsa 66ers. Stallworth finished his MSU career more than 1,000 points and hit a school-record 283 three-pointers. He helped guide the 2008-09 Eagle team to its first OVC Tournament championship and its first NCAA tournament berth in 25 years.

Stallworth replaces J.R. Reynolds on the roster. Reynolds left the team following Saturday's loss to Springfield. Maine's roster currently stands at the league maximum 12.

The Red Claws will head on the road Thursday as they face the Springfield Armor at the MassMutual Center at 7 PM. Maine will then head to the Midwest to take on the league's newest entry, the Canton Charge, on Saturday. The Red Claws return home for a two-game set with Eastern Conference rival, the Erie BayHawks on December 17 and December 18. Great seats remain for both games and may be purchased by calling (207) 210-6655, in person at the Red Claws Team Store, located at 413 Congress Street in Portland, or online at www.MaineRedClaws.com.
