
Red Bulls Defeat New England, 1-0, at Gillette Stadium on Saturday Night

The New York Red Bulls (3-1-1, 10 pts.) defeated New England Revolution (1-3-1, 4 pts.), 1-0, on Saturday Night at Gillette Stadium.
New York opened the scoring in the 90th minute, when forward Ashley Fletcher played a low driven cross inside New England's eighteen-yard box and the ball deflected off New England defender Matt Polster to give the Red Bulls the lead.
The Red Bulls won their first three road matches of the season for the first time in franchise history.
New York are the only 3-0-0 team on the road in MLS.
Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel recorded his first clean sheet of the season after recording 13 last season. This was his 15th career MLS clean sheet.
Coronel registered five saves in the match, which is a season high. He has recorded 24 saves in his career against New England, which is the most he has against any single MLS team.
In their last nine road matches, New York has posted a 7-1-1 mark, while outscoring their opponents, 17-5.
The Red Bulls earned their 74th career clean sheet on the road in franchise history.
New York recorded their first win at Gillette Stadium since July 5, 2017, and their first clean sheet and win in New England since June 8, 2014.
The seven road wins that New York has earned since September 17, 2021, is the most of any team in MLS in that timespan.
Since 2014, New York has accumulated 426 points, which is the second most in MLS in that timespan.
