Saturday's match will be the 15th MLS regular season game between New York and Orlando with the Red Bulls holding an advantage in the series with a 7-5-2 mark. Since suffering their first loss of the season to New York on May 29, Orlando City SC are on a three-match winning streak, outscoring their opponents, 10-4. The Red Bulls snapped their six-game road losing streak (including playoffs), dating to the end of last season. It was New York's longest skid away from home since losing nine straight road games from April to July 2009.
New York's 0-0 draw against Atlanta United FC was the Red Bulls first road shutout since October 10, 2020. Goalkeeper Carlos Coronel tallied his fourth shutout of the season, which is tied for first in MLS. New York have earned four shutouts in 10 matches this season, after only tallying five in 23 matches in 2020.
Following Saturday's match, New York will begin a two-match homestand starting with the Philadelphia Union on Thursday, June 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on MSG and MSG GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
