
Record Crowd on Hand as Petes Raise over $60,000 in 14th Annual Pink in the Rink Game

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes welcomed the rival Oshawa Generals to the PMC for the 14th annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, February 4th. An all-time record attendance of 3,912 took in the game, which also included a record 50/50 of $9,360 awarded to one lucky fan.
The Petes Pink in the Rink Campaign raised a preliminary fundraising total of $62,600. Despite the great success off the ice, the Generals would ultimately take the game by a score of 7-5.

Chuck-a-Puck & T-Shirt Sales:
Five local hockey moms: Jennie Ireland, Dara Gosselin, Elke Rye, Karen Tarkington, and Dana Thorn were named Ambassadors for the 2023 Campaign. They joined Physician Ambassador Dr. Neera Jeyabalan, PRHC Foundation President and CEO Leslie Heighway on the ice before the game for a ceremony recognizing all of their cancer journeys.
Tommy Purdeller led the way for the Petes on the night with two goals, while Jonathan Melee added a goal and two assists. Owen Beck had two assists, and J.R. Avon and Sam Mayer each had a goal. Brian Zanetti, Gavin White, Chase Stillman, and Jax Dubois each had an assist in the loss.
