RSL Heads East Sunday Looking for Season Sweep vs. New England Revolution

Real Salt Lake (7-8-6, 27 pts.) will once again have a chance to reach the .500 mark on Sunday, August 23, when the Utah side will begin a critical stretch of three games in seven days with a road tilt at the New England Revolution (6-6-6, 24 pts.). RSL will look for the season sweep against the Revs when the two sides kickoff from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. at 4:00 p.m. MT, with broadcast coverage on KUTV 2.2 Digital / Comcast 111 beginning a half hour earlier with the America First Credit Union Pre-Match Report. Fans can also follow the action live via RSL's official radio partners - KALL 700 Sports (coverage beginning with the America First Credit Union Pre-Match Report at 3:00 p.m.) and "Ke Buena" 1600-AM.

Real Salt Lake took the first meeting of the season between the two teams in historic fashion back on April 25, when the Claret-and-Cobalt set a franchise record for goals during a 6-0 win at Rio Tinto Stadium, with all the tallies coming after the halftime break, tying an MLS record for goals in one half in the process. That three-point result moved RSL's all-time record against the Revs to an even 3-3-3, which includes a similar .500 mark in contests at Gillette Stadium (1-1-2). Real Salt Lake is undefeated in its last three visits to New England, including a 2-2 draw in last year's affair on Oct. 4, in which the Utah side led 2-0 heading into the final quarter hour. RSL took the advantage in that contest thanks to goals from midfielders Javier Morales (13') and Andy Williams (73'), but New England veterans MF Steve Ralston (77') and FW Taylor Twellman (79') quickly erased the margin for the home side, resulting in a share of the spoils.
