
Reading Finishes Sweep of The Senators with 15-6 Win

The Reading Phillies finished off their three-game sweep of the Senators Sunday afternoon with a 15-6 win over the Senators. Reading batted around in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring 5 and 6 runs respectively, and tacked on 4 runs in the 8th for good measure.
Archie Gilbert hit two home runs for the second consecutive game and now has seven on the season. Gilbert has hit five home runs in the past four games. He had three hits in the game which gives him seven for the past two games.
Tyler Moore also homered for the Senators and Stephen King had hit first two-hit game with the Senators. For the third game in a row, the Senators took a lead in the bottom of the first. On Sunday, they led 4-0 into the top of the 5th before Reading's bats came to life.
The Senators open a three-game series with the Altoona Curve Monday night at 7:00pm at Metro Bank Park. The game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Sens website, and on your ipad or iphone beginning at 6:50pm.
