Guelph Storm News Release
The Guelph Storm are proud to announce that Tuesday, March 17th is RBC Day in support of the Guelph Giants.
The Storm will wear one-of-a-kind St. Patrick's Day jerseys when they host the Rangers that will later be auctioned off online at the Storm ebay store. All net proceeds will go to the Guelph Giants Special Needs Hockey Club- a foundation dedicated to encouraging, empowering and enabling athletes with an intellectual disability to participate in an inclusive hockey program.
Since the 2011-12 season through the first three RBC Play Hockey Days and other warm up jersey auctions, RBC and the Storm have raised over $25,000 for local minor hockey groups.
The St. Patrick's Day Jerseys were designed by the Storm and Projoy and are being made locally by Projoy. A limited number of replica jerseys will be available for purchase at Spyke's.
More information about the ebay online auction will be available during the day on March 18th.
This is the second time this season the Storm have worn specialty jerseys. In November to help commemorate Remembrance Day, one-of-a-kind Veterans jerseys were worn by the Storm and later auctioned off to help raise over $12,000 for the John McCrae Statue Fund.
Tickets are still available for RBC Day and can be purchased online or by calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
