RazorSharks Beat Maryland 125-114

Rochester RazorSharks News Release


(Rochester, New York)...The defending ABA champion Rochester RazorSharks broke out offensively and had their highest points output of the season as they defeated the Maryland Nighthawks 125-114 in an afternoon game at The Blue Cross Arena in downtown Rochester. Before a crowd of 4,082 and ABA Commissioner John Salley, the RazorSharks had eight players score in double figures as they remain undefeated at 4-0.

James "Mook" Reaves scored 20 points and hauled down 13 rebounds to lead Rochester, while point guard Lazarus Sims contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and nine assists to backbone the RazorSharks offense. Demond Stewart added 19 points, Eric Coley and Keith Friel each contributed 15 points and Brian Edwards had 14 points and ten rebounds. Andrew Washington led Maryland with 22 points and ten rebounds.

The RazorSharks received their 2005-2006 ABA championship rings from ABA Commissioner John Salley in a pre-game ceremony. Rochester returns to action on Friday, November 24 as they travel to Buffalo to take on the Silverbacks at Buffalo State University at 7:00 p.m.
