Rattlers Set Roster for Opener

Phoenix, AZ - The Arizona Rattlers closed out their 13th training camp this weekend, and now have their roster set for their opening game against Los Angeles. The team released six players, and also signed three to their practice squad.
The Rattlers released OL/DL Sebastian Barrie (6-3, 265, Liberty), FB/LB J.R. Kelemeni (6-3, 260, Northern Colorado), DS Perry Carter (6-0, 203, Southern Miss), OL/DL Cliff Holloman (6-3, 238, Kansas State), OL/DL Nate Mallory (6-3, 300, Washington State) and OL/DL Adrian Wilson (6-2, 315, Miami, FL.). WR/DB Justin Taplin (6-0, 183, Arizona State), WR/DB Ryan Dennard (6-3, 215, Arizona State), and FB/LB A.J. Novak (6-0, 260, William Penn) were all signed to the Practice Squad.
Arizona also placed WR/LB Terence Davis, WR/LB Larry Nixon, OL/DL Tim Engelhardt, QB Travis Cole and OL/DL Jason Andersen on Injured Reserve. Players placed on Injured Reserve must miss a minimum of two games.
In addition to proven veterans Sherdrick Bonner, Hunkie Cooper and Randy Gatewood, the final roster also includes rookie Antionne Scott, who played the previous two seasons in af2. The lineman out of Ole Miss came to the Rattlers Open Tryout camp in September. Rookie QB Joe Germaine also earned a spot on the squad. The former Ohio State Buckeye will serve as Bonner's back-up.
