O'Fallon, Mo. - Josh Lowey allowed just four hits in seven innings and Logan Parker hit his first homer with River City, a three-run shot, as the Rascals win their 52nd game pushing their win percentage to .754, the best in professional baseball.

Lowey (7-2) struck out eight, including a bases loaded strikeout after falling behind in the count 3-0 to preserve a 1-0 lead in the third.

River City (52-17) took that lead with consecutive doubles from Stephen Holdren and Joash Brodin in the second before Parkers' blast in the fifth that followed a Doug Sanders RBI single to make it 5-1.

Joliet (40-29), the top team in the east division, fell behind 6-1 in the sixth as Jason Patton scratched out a run on his own with a single and stolen base followed by consecutive wild pitches. The single stretched Patton's hit-streak to 16 games, a season high for River City.

Dustin Umberger struck out five in two innings of work to close out the game with a little help from Jareck West, making a diving catch in center to end the game.

River City looks for their sixth-straight win tomorrow night when former Rascal Ryne Miller (0-5, 5.26) takes the mound for Joliet against the Rascals' Zach Robertson (6-2, 4.06).
