
Raptors Secure 111-103 Win against Gold

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - The Grand Rapids Gold fell to the Raptors 905 after a hard-fought battle resulting in 10 lead changes and 2 ties. The 905 found an advantage in the paint, securing 50 boards compared to 35 for the Gold in addition to hustling up 17 second chance points (7/11) over Grand Rapids' 8 points (4/6). The Raptors led by as many as 20 points, but the Gold's tenacious efforts in the fourth allowed Grand Rapids to get within a few possessions of tying the game.
The Raptors 905 were led by Toronto Raptors two-way player Justin Champagnie with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Toronto Raptors assignment Isaac Bonga contributed a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Aaron Best added another 17 points and 4 rebounds. Ashton Hagans recorded another double-double 15 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. David Johnson tallied 12 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Petr Cornelie put up an impressive performance with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Quade Green hustled up 21 points, 7 assists and 2 steals. Devonte Bandoo followed up with 20 points, shooting 6-11 from the three and 7-14 from the field, in addition to 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Big man Giorgi Bezhanishivili added another 13 points and 6 rebounds. Other Gold players in double figures were Trevon Duval (11pts, 7 assists, 2 stls) and Terrence Jones (10 pts, 7 rebs, 3 assists).
The Gold will stay home for the remainder of the regular season to compete against the College Park Skyhawks for back-to-back games this Friday and Saturday, with hopes to clench a spot in the playoff berth. Tip off for both games are at 7:00 p.m. EST. Watch live on NBAGLeague.com.
