Raptors Blast Chukars In Season Finale between Teams
September 3, 2010 - Pioneer League (PL)
Idaho Falls Chukars News Release
The Idaho Falls Chukars lost 10-4 to the Ogden Raptors Thursday night at Lindquist Field. With the loss, the Chukars finished the season with an 0-8 record at Lindquist Field.
Jake Lemmerman and Nick Akins hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning to give the Raptors a 2-0 lead. Those two would homer again in the third after Austin King hit a home run for three straight long balls as part of a five run inning. The Raptors would score four more, as the Chukars managed only four runs in the entire game - all of which were unearned thanks to four Raptors' errors.
Chukars' starting pitcher Brennon Martin took the loss and fell to 4-3 after giving up seven earned runs in three and a third innings. Malcom Culver led the Chukars with two doubles and two RBIs. Murray Watts went 3-for-4 with one RBI.
The Chukars return to Melaleuca Field for the final homestand of the season this weekend. Friday night the Chukars play the Orem Owlz starting at 7:15.
