Rapidz Announce Summer Promotions Lineup

(OTTAWA) June 20, 2008 - The promotions for the upcoming Ottawa Rapidz home stand against the Sussex Skyhawks and the Brockton Rox promises fun and good times for all.
In case fans need a better excuse to attend Rapidz games, besides great baseball, Monday, June 23 is hosting the "Make-A-Wish Foundation" at Rapidz Stadium. Make-A-Wish families, supporters and volunteers will come together to celebrate the Foundation and brighten the lives of a couple of Wish Kids who will throw out the first pitch of the game.
Bring your appetite to the game as the Rapidz introduce a great addition to its already fabulous food menu with a new "All-You-Can-Eat" wristband for $10. The wristband is good for food and soft drinks ordered in the picnic area, which will feature a fabulous specialty menu and outdoor dining in the picnic area, perfect for families and groups to the Stadium. Wristbands are $10 per person and are available at the box office.
Come celebrate St-Jean Baptiste Day, Tuesday, June 24 with the Ottawa Rapidz! Pre-game ceremonies will feature activities from the Association canadienne-française de l'Ontario. All fans arriving at the Stadium and show a Quebec drivers licence at the box office get in for only $4!
On Wednesday, June 25, the Ottawa Rapidz help the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival wrap up its festivities - all paddlers, volunteers, friends and family are invited to relax and enjoy a great evening of baseball. Tickets are available at the Dragon Boat Race, June 20-22.
On Thursday, June 26, the Ottawa Rapidz is pleased to host "OC Transpo Appreciation Night." Approximately 4000 OC Transpo Staff and their families will be attending this game. All fans are invited to join in the festivities for a fun evening and great atmosphere of baseball at Rapidz Stadium.
Saturday, June 28 Y101 Presents Ottawa Rapidz Country Night. Buy a ticket to the game and enjoy a great pre-game concert featuring Ambush, starting at 5:00. Come be part of the "Ambush Army" and enjoy the Canadian Country Music Award nominated band.
Monday, June 30 is Canada Day Eve at Rapidz Stadium where the stadium will be "painted" red and white. All fans are encouraged to show their national pride by wearing red and white to the game.
