Rapids Unbeaten Streak Comes to a Close in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Colorado Rapids lost for the first time in 10 games, falling 2-1 to Sporting Kansas City on the road on Saturday night. Edson Buddle scored his second goal in as many games to tie the game in the 77th minute, but Graham Zusi scored for the hosts in minute 88 to seal the victory. Benny Feilhaber had given Sporting the lead in the 33rd minute with a great volley from distance. Rapids midfielder Nathan Sturgis made his 100th MLS regular season appearance in the match.

The Rapids visit the LA Galaxy next Saturday, September 7 at 8:30 p.m. MT with the live broadcast on Altitude, with coverage starting at 8:00 p.m. Colorado returns to Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. MT, for the first of three remaining Rapids home games.
