
Houston Dynamo Face Chicago Fire Today in Key Eastern Conference Matchup

HOUSTON (Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013) - The Houston Dynamo visit the Chicago Fire this afternoon at 2 p.m. CT for an important Eastern Conference game at Toyota Park. Today's game continues a stretch of four games out of five on the road for the Dynamo, including three straight in league play.
Today's game will be broadcast live on CSN Houston Plus (1:30 p.m. pregame show) and UniMÃÆÃ¡s (Spanish). The game can be heard on Yahoo Sports Radio 1560 AM and La Ranchera 850 AM (Spanish).
The Dynamo (10-8-6; 36 points) are in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the Fire (10-10-4; 34 points). Houston is one point behind New England and three points back of Philadelphia.
Today is the third and final meeting this season between the Eastern Conference rivals. The first two games were played at BBVA Compass Stadium, where the Dynamo earned a 2-1 win on April 14 before the clubs drew 1-1 on July 27.
The Fire features forward Mike Magee, who is tied for second in MLS with 14 goals, including 8 goals in 12 games with Chicago since he was traded from the LA Galaxy on May 24. Chicago has also added two players since it faced the Dynamo on July 27: Uruguay international midfielder Ar̮̩valo Rios and Ecuadorian striker Juan Luis Anangon̮".
Rios, 31, was a member of Uruguay's 2010 World Cup squad the reached the semifinals and the 2012 Olympic team. Anangono, 24, signed as a Designated Player on July 23.
The Dynamo complete the road trip on Wednesday against the Columbus Crew. The orange return to Houston to host the New York Red Bulls on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium in a match presented by VISA.
