GLENDALE, AZ (March 2, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Rapid City Rush forward Konrad Reeder has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for February/2012. Reeder will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

Reeder nearly carried the injury-depleted Rush on his back in the month of February as they posted an 8-3-3 record and climbed back into the playoff picture ending the month in third place in the Turner Conference with a 30-17-6 record (66 points). His club was without two of their top players in Jesse Schultz and Les Reaney, due to injury, and on the season, Rapid City has missed more than 250 man games to injury.

Some of the highlights of the month for Reeder include a four point night (1-3=4) on February 3rd in a 5-2 win at Evansville, the game winning goal and two assists in a 3-1 win at Wichita on February 11th, two goals (including the game winner) and an assist in a 4-3 win over Laredo on February 17th and back-to-back two goal performances against his former club (Arizona) in two wins against the Sundogs that closed out the month.

The 5-9, 175-pound forward may have played his best hockey of the season in the second half of the month where he finished with a nine-game point streak averaging more than two points a game. On his streak, Reeder has 10 goals and nine assists.
