Rapid City RUSH unveils team logo and team jerseys

In a press conference earlier today, General Manager Jason Rent was met with much enthusiasm from local business sponsors and season ticket holders when he unveiled the team's new logo designs.
Three logo designs were decided on by the owner's group and team management. The primary logo consists of the letter "R." The dominant color in all three designs is red. When asked why the color red was chosen Rent stated, "The color red symbolizes action, confidence, courage and vitality - all important characteristics for a hockey team."
The owners' group presented the team jerseys which feature the primary "R" logo on the front and the two secondary logos on the shoulders. The secondary logos include one design that incorporates Mount Rushmore; chosen for its significance to the area and the third design is the word "Rush."
In addition to the unveiling of the logos and the team jerseys, the team also announced Rapid City Rush merchandise is available for purchase. Current merchandise includes pucks, hooded sweatshirts, t-shirts and baseball caps. Team jerseys, polos and mini sticks will arrive in time for the holiday shopping season. Team merchandise can be purchased Monday through Friday between 8 am and 5 pm at the Rapid City Rush office located in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center above the ticket office.
Assistant General Manager Tim Hill joined the team earlier this week. Hill's experience includes Director of Sales and Marketing for five years for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and prior to that he played for the team for four years.
