
Bucks Fall To Rage 4-1

Laredo Bucks News Release
BROOMFIELD, CO- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League fell to the Rocky Mountain Rage 4-1 in front of 3,029 fans at the Broomfield Event Center Friday night. With the loss the Bucks fall to 11-2 overall, and 6-1 on the road.
The first period was scoreless as both teams failed to light the lamp, and both goaltenders were equal to the task. Laredo outshot Rocky Mountain 11-5 in the period, with Bucks goaltender Dustin Traylen and Rage goaltender Scott Reid stopping all the shots that came their way. Traylen stopped all five Rage shots, while Reid set aside all 11 Bucks shots.
The Rage (8-0-1) came out on fire in the second period and took a 4-0 lead. Rocky Mountain got on the scoreboard seven minutes into the period when Trevor Weisgerber scored on a break away past Traylen making it 1-0. The Rage made it 2-0 nearly three minutes later when Daymen Rycroft scored on the power-play, with former Bucks captain Brent Cullaton picking up an assist. Rocky Mountain stretched their lead to 3-0 just over a minute later at the 11:17 mark when Scott Wray scored from the left circle. The Rage closed out the scoring at the 14:50 mark when Colt King scored the Rage's second break away goal of the period making it 4-0. Rocky Mountain outshot Laredo in the second period 15-8, with Reid making all eight saves for the Rage. The four goals given up by the Bucks in the second period were the most they have given up in a single period all season.
Laredo got on the board at the 13:03 mark of the third when Jeff Bes scored his 10th goal of the season to make it 4-1. Matt Summers and Igor Agarunov picked up assists for Laredo.
Reid stopped 27 of 28 Bucks shots to pick up the win, while Traylen stopped 16 of the 20 Rage shots he faced. Kevin Beech played the third period in net for Laredo stopping all four Rage shots he faced.
The Bucks will be back in action Saturday night as they face the Colorado Eagles at the Budweiser Event Center in a rematch of last years President's Cup Finals. Game time is set for 8:05.
