Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League have announced that mascot Burnie the Sundog will be on hand for the Yavapai Food Bank Flying High Turkey Drive at the Safeway location in Prescott Valley on Monday, Nov. 19 from 12:00-4:00pm.

Burnie the Sundog will join Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce President Marnie Uhl high above Safeway in one of Central Yavapai Fire Department's ladder trucks. The two will be lifted into the air for the entire four hours to encourage turkey donations for the less-fortunate in Yavapai County.

The Yavapai Food Bank will also be giving away two free Sundogs tickets to the Wednesday, Nov. 21 game against the Austin Ice Bats for every 100th turkey that is donated.

The Arizona Sundogs will also hold a canned food drive during Wednesday night's game to benefit the Yavapai Food Bank. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Tim's Toyota Center and will receive coupons good for $1 off any future 2007 Arizona Sundogs home game and 20% off Sundogs merchandise purchased at the Sundogs Team Store on Nov. 21 with every donation.
