Rangers Recall Alexandar Georgiev from Hartford, Return Mazanec

NEW YORK, November 14, 2018 - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled goaltender Alexandar Georgiev from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Blueshirts have assigned goaltender Marek Mazanec to Hartford.

Georgiev, who was assigned to Hartford earlier today, made 26 saves and earned a win in the Wolf Pack's game today against Bridgeport. He has posted a 2-1-0 record, along with a 3.01 GAA and a .902 SV% in three appearances with the Wolf Pack this season. In addition, Georgiev has appeared in four games with the Rangers this season, posting a 3-1-0 record, along with a 3.62 GAA and a .897 SV%. He has earned a win in each of his last three appearances with the Blueshirts, and he has posted a 2.53 GAA and a .925 SV% over those three contests.

Mazanec has appeared in nine games with Hartford this season, posting a 3-4-2 record, along with a 3.11 GAA and a .889 SV%.
