
Rangers fend off Attack

Kitchener, ON: Matthew Martello scored once and added an assist leading the Rangers to a 4-2 win over the visiting Owen Sound Attack tonight at the Aud.
Owen Sound's Wayne Simmonds opened the scoring on a power play at 10:01 with his 21st goal of the season.
After the Attack increased their lead 2-0 at 2:15 in the second period Yannick Weber scored his 13th goal of the season at 8:22 while on a power play.
Matthew Martello tied the game up with his 4th goal of the season early in the third period. Nazem Kadri scored the eventual game winner at 4:01, his 6th of the year. Kevin Henderson added to the scoring with his 32nd goal of the season with an assist from Martello at 18:29 while on the power play.
Charles Lavigne picked up the win in goal stopping 31 of the 33 shots he faced including a penalty shot from Bobby Ryan.
The Rangers first home playoff game is Friday, March 23rd against a yet to be determined opponent. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
