LONDON, Ont. - Patrick Kane scored four times and added three assists to lead the London Knights to a 8-3 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 9,090 at the John Labatt Centre. David Meckler added a goal and four assists for the Knights while Sergei Kostitsyn scored once and collected five assists. Adam Perry (with a pair) and Justin Taylor scored the other goals for London, who won their third straight to move to 49-14-1-3 on the season. Jordan Skellett, Anthony Peluso and Josh Kidd replied for the Otters, who lost for the fourth straight time and dropped to 15-49-1-2. The two teams were tied at two after the first. London blew the game wide open in the second out-scoring the Otters 5-0 to carry a 7-2 lead into the third. The Knights out shot the Otters 53-32 as Kevin Beech started and took the loss allowing seven goals on 39 shots. Justin Garay played the final 20 minutes and surrendered two goals on 14 shots. The three stars of the game were all from the Knights. Kane was the first, Kostitsyn the second and Meckler the third.

The Otters close out the 2006-2007 Season at the Tullio Arena tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7:30 p.m. when the Knights visit to complete the back half of the home-and-home series. Cold Stone Creamery, WSEE and Mercyhurst College present Fan Appreciation Night with more than $20,000 in cash and prizes available to be won. The first 3,000 fans into the game will receive a coupon for a free ice cream cone courtesy of Cold Stone Creamery and one fan will have the chance to win an ice cream cake a month for a year in the Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream Eating Contest. In addition, fans are encouraged to purchase a ticket for the Auer Framing Gallery Jersey Raffle for their chance to win the jersey right of the back of a member of the Otters at the end of the game; all fans in attendance will receive free popcorn courtesy of Center Plate and the Erie County Convention Center Authority and more than 100 t-shirts will be blasted and slung into the crowd throughout the game. Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area TicketMaster locations as well as the Erie Civic Center Box Office.
