
Rangers Edge the Attack in a Shootout, 3-2

Owen Sound, ON: To finish off three games in three days, the Rangers (13-10-2-2) traveled north to faceoff against their Midwest Division rivals, the Attack (13-11-3-1) at the Bayshore Community Centre on Saturday night.
The Rangers got regulation goals from Declan McDonnell and Michael Vukojevic, both in the first period. In the third period, the Attack scored a late goal to send the game to an extra frame that solved nothing.
In the shootout, Riley Damiani was the lone goalscorer to give the Rangers the 3-2 win and extend their winning streak to six games.
Jacob Ingham stopped 51 shots in the win.

Early in the game, Riley Damiani took a hooking penalty 1 3:35 and Greg Meireles took a roughing penalty at4:18 to put the Rangers down two men.
On the ensuing powerplay, Brady Lyle shot the puck and it was tipped down low by Adam McMaster to put the Attack up 1-0.
The Rangers tied it up at when Declan McDonnell (5) danced around an Attack defender down low and went short-side on Nick Chenard and it was 1-1.
Isaac Langdon and Donovan Sebrango each earned assists on the goal.
Kitchener scores with two seconds left in the period when Sebrango passed to Riley Damiani who took the puck down the ice before dishing it to a streaking Michael Vukojevic for the goal. It was 2-1.
At the end of the first period, shots were tied 14-14.
There were no goals in the second period.
After 40 minutes, the Attack led in shots 29-23.
At 14:16 of the third period, the Attack tied it up on their 47th shot when a second chance opportunity by Matthew Phillip beat Ingham high to tie the game up, 2-2.
Despite getting 53 shots on Ingham through 60 minutes, the game was deadlocked at the end of regulation.
In overtime, the RangersÃÂ were gifted a powerplay at 2:50 but were unable to capitalize and the game went to a shootout.
In the shootout, Damiani was the lone goalscorer and the Rangers winning streak was extended to six games.
The final shots were 53-37.
The next home game for the Rangers is the annual Teddy Bear game on Tuesday, December 1o at 7:00 pm versus the London Knights. The next road game is on Saturday,ÃÂ December 14 at 2:00 pm versus the Guelph Storm.
