RAMPAGE 10TH ANNIVERSARY NIGHT
Jan. 14: All tickets in the arena are $10, including lower level seating based on availability, in honor of 10 years of Rampage hockey. The team will wear themed jerseys that will be auc- tioned off postgame with proceeds benefitting Silver & Black Give Back and San Antonio Youth Hockey Association.
The Rampage will also unveil the 10 finalists that will compete to win a pair of Rampage season tickets for the next 10 years.
The finalists will compete in a series of events through the remainder of the season with one person being eliminated at each contest. The winner will be determined in the last regular season home game on Apr. 15.
ROBAK NAMED TO ALL-STAR TEAM: Rampage defenseman Colby Robak was announced as a member of the Western Conference All-Star Team last week. Robak is tied for the team lead in plus/minus with a rating of plus-11 through 36 games and is third on the team in points with 19 (five goals, 14 assists). He becomes the 11th player in franchise history to be nominated to the AHL All-Star Team.
SEEING RED: Rampage netminder Dov Grumet-Morris has saved some of the best perform- ances of his career for the Charlotte Checkers. Last week he stopped 78 of the 80 shots he faced in San Antonio's back-to-back set with Charlotte to improve to 2-2-0 with a .966 save percentage in five all-time contests versus the Checkers.
THOMAS RETURNS FROM SOUTH BEACH: Forward Bill Thomas was reassigned to the Rampage on Saturday after spending seven games with the Florida Panthers. In those contests Thomas registered one goal and averaged 8:44 in ice time per game.
THE MAGIC NUMBER: San Antonio is a perfect 10-0-0-0 when scoring four or more goals in a game.
RALLO HANDS OUT THREE HELPERS: Rampage forward Greg Rallo tied a career-high for assists in one game with three in San Antonio's loss to the Houston Aeros yesterday afternoon.
He is the only Rampage player to total three assists in a game this season.
ICE CHIPS: Evan Barlow - Left Wing
Left wing Evan Barlow tallied two goals and an assist yester- day against Houston to give him three goals and five assists in his last six games. Barlow, who was signed to a professional try-out on Nov. 17, is fifth on the team in points with 16 (six goals, 10 assists) in just 22 games this year.
The 26-year-old Strathmore, Alberta native is in his third pro- fessional season and has posted seven goals and 13 assists in 30 career AHL games. Before turning pro, Barlow played for Cornell University, where he tallied 61 points (28 goals, 33 assists) in 126 NCAA contests.
