SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 15, 2007) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that they have resigned center Chris Ferraro to a new professional tryout offer (PTO). In addition, the Rampage signed center Cam Paddock to a PTO and released forward Chad Woollard from his PTO.
Ferraro, 34, has recorded 17 points (four goals, 13 assists) in 25 games with the Rampage since signing a PTO on December 26, 2006. The 13-year veteran began the year with Hartford where he appeared in one game with Wolf Pack. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.
Paddock, a North Vancouver, British Columbia native, is in his second stint with the Rampage. He signed a PTO on December 26, 2006, along with Ferraro, and was released on January 2 after tallying an assist in three games with the Rampage.
The 23-year-old Paddock has played in 46 games with the Phoenix RoadRunners, the Rampage's ECHL affiliate, and has 31 points (11 goals, 20 assists). He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (137th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and is in his fourth professional season.
The 27-year-old Woollard was signed by San Antonio on February 13, 2006 and played only two games with the Rampage, recording one shot on goal.
