San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 16, 2014) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Josh McFadden from the club's ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.

McFadden, 22, suited up in one game for San Antonio after being recalled on Nov. 24. The blue-liner has played in 22 games for the Cyclones this season and has recorded four goals and seven points in that span. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound defenseman donned the Silver and Black in nine games last season during his rookie campaign, but was held off the score sheet. McFadden spent the majority of his rookie year with Cincinnati, recording two goals and 12 assists in 28 games. Prior to turning pro, the Guelph, Ontario native played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 222 games and 150 points (39 goals, 111 assists). During the 2010-11 season, McFadden led the Sudbury Wolves in scoring and was third in the league among defenseman with 19 goals and 53 assists in 67 games.

The Rampage will face off against the Milwaukee Admirals tonight on an All-You-Can-Eat Night at the AT&T Center. The game is the fifth of a season-high eight-game home-stand for the Rampage. Tickets can be purchased by calling a Rampage representative at 210-444-5554 or online at sarampage.com.
