Rampage Recall Bernhardt And Orpik From Las Vegas

San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving today announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled center Justin Bernhardt and forward Andrew Orpik from their ECHL affiliate, the Las Vegas Wranglers.

Bernhardt, 21, has recorded one goal and one assist in 12 games during two separate stints with San Antonio this season. The rookie has posted three goals and four assists in 17 games with the Wranglers in 2009-10, including three assists in his latest eight-game stint with Las Vegas. The Yorkton, Saskatchewan native accumulated 242 points (103 goals, 139 assists) in 307 career WHL games with Prince Albert, Kelowna, and Regina (2003-09).

Orpik, 23, has tallied two assists in 11 appearances with San Antonio this season. The rookie has collected nine goals and 11 assists in 26 games with the Wranglers in the 2009-10 season. The East Amherst, NY native attended Boston College (NCAA) where he amassed 47 points (18 goals, 29 assists) in 155 games and tacked on 145 penalty minutes over his four-year collegiate career as an Eagle. Orpik was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and signed an AHL contract with the Rampage on August 25, 2009.

The Rampage continue on their second leg of their Rodeo road trip with three games in three nights starting this Friday in Rockford for a back-to-back series at Rockford MetroCentre before rounding out the weekend with a game in Milwaukee on Sunday.
