Admirals Present Abe Lincoln Bobbleheads, $3 Tickets
February 10, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals have big happenings both on an off the ice this weekend as the team starts a long run to the playoffs with three games this weekend, including home games on Friday night at 7:00 pm versus the Rockford IceHogs and on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm against the San Antonio Rampage.
Friday is the 201st birthday of Abraham Lincoln, and what better way to honor one of our best chief executives than to commemorate his birthday with a bobblehead. Thus, the first 5,000 fans will take home a Lincoln Bobblehead, complete with the 16th President in an Admirals jersey, courtesy of US Bank. Only the most dedicated Lincoln scholars know that, in addition to guiding the country through the Civil War, he was also a big Admirals fan. Some of Lincoln's favorite Admirals include David Farragut, Charles Wilkes, David Porter and Nolan Yonkman.
Plus, Friday is also a Chipotle Fiesta Deck night. For just $16 fans get a ticket to the game, a Chipotle Burrito Buck which is good for a free burrito, and a kazoo!
Sunday's contest is the Admirals annual charity game where all tickets in the 400 level are just $3 and $2 from each ticket goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin. In addition, $2 from all regularly priced lower bowl tickets will be also be donated to Make-A-Wish. This is the fifth season that the Admirals have discounted the 400-level tickets and then donated the proceeds to charity. The previous four games have netted over $94,000 combined for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, and the MACC Fund.
The first 3,000 fans to the game on Sunday will get an Admirals cinch sack, courtesy of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
In addition, Reggy the Purple Party Dude, will be at both games to entertain fans with his wacky hijinks, thanks to Old Orchard Juice.
Fans can order tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each 200-level ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
