Columbus Assigns Right Wing Mike Blunden

Syracuse, NY (February 10, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned right wing Mike Blunden to Syracuse.

Blunden, 23, has appeared in 15 games for the Crunch this season, tallying four goals, five assists and 32 penalty minutes. In addition, he has skated in 22 games for Columbus this year, recording 29 penalty minutes. In 193 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Norfolk and Rockford, Blunden has registered 37 goals, 55 assists and 242 penalty minutes.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Blunden was acquired by Columbus from Chicago in exchange for Adam Pineault on January 10, 2009.

Tickets for the Mirabito Outdoor Classic, the AHL's first-ever outdoor game, are priced at $30 for end grandstand and $40 for center grandstand seating. Group pricing begins at 20 tickets and range as low as $26.

The Crunch's next game is on Friday, February 12 when they travel to Portland to face the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The Crunch return home on Wednesday, February 17 to battle the Texas Stars at 7:00 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444 (315) 473-4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
