Chicago Wolves News Release

Chicago Wolves forwards SPENCER MACHACEK and RYLAN KAIP will make four appearances next Tuesday, February 16, at libraries around Chicagoland as part of the Wolves "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Pace and Vista Health System.

The appearances are scheduled for:

Tues., Feb. 16:

Spencer Machacek Prospect Heights Public Library 12 Elm St. 4:00 p.m.

Elk Grove Village Public Library 1001 Wellington Ave. 7:00 p.m.

Rylan Kaip Cary Public Library 1606 3 Oaks Rd. 4:00 p.m.

Fox River Grove Public Library 407 Lincoln Ave. 6:30 p.m.

MACHACEK and KAIP will discuss the role that reading and education play in their lives as professional athletes and emphasize the importance of recreational reading. The Wolves players will also dress a child in hockey equipment, raffle Wolves prizes and sign autographs.

The "Read to Succeed" program encourages kids to take advantage of the resources that libraries have to offer and to set reading goals for themselves. Once they have achieved their goals, they will be rewarded with prizes including Wolves T-shirts, pennants and tickets to upcoming Wolves games.

Throughout the season, nearly 100 libraries and 30,000 children will participate in the program, with Wolves players making close to 30 appearances at libraries in the DuPage, North Suburban and Metropolitan Library Systems.
