Wednesday, October 23 @ Milwaukee Admirals 2-4 L
Darren Haydar scored a pair of goals to help the Milwaukee Admirals double up the San Antonio Rampage, 4-2. Haydar, scored the game-winner at 8:01 of the second period and added an insurance marker six minutes later. Robert Schnabel and Greg Koehler also tallied for Milwaukee. Jan Lasak, who dished out two assists, stopped 29 of 31 shots to earn the victory. David Morisset, who played with Bridgeport last season, scored his second goal of the year and Pierre Dagenais notched a power-play goal for San Antonio.
Saturday, October 26 @ Houston Aeros 4-5 L
Mark Cullen scored a pair of goals and added an assist, leading the Houston Aeros to their eighth straight win, a 5-4 win over the San Antonio Rampage. Cullen opened the scoring 6:22 into the first period before adding his fourth marker of the season 9:44 into the second, giving Houston a 4-1 lead. Lawrence Nycholat collected three assists, Curtis Murphy garnered a pair of helpers and Derek Gustafson made 19 saves for the Aeros, who remain perfect (8-0-0) on the season. Pierre Dagenais scored a pair of goals and Chris Mason made 32 saves for San Antonio, which dropped its third straight contest.
Promotions and Giveaways: All fans attending Sunday's game against the Aeros will receive a commemorative inaugural season San Antonio Rampage hockey puck. Pucks will be distributed at the end of the game. Fans who sign up for the SBC Center Rewards Programs will be eligible to win a big screen TV and a trip for two (includes airfare, hotel, & tickets) to the 2003 NHL All-Star Game in Sunrise, Florida.
Smile for the Camera: Fox Sports Net will televise the Rampage's SBC Center debut on November 3, with Andrew Monaco handling the play-by-play action and San Antonio hockey great Brian Shantz providing the color commentary. In addition, the Rampage will broadcast games on December 14, January 11, March 8, and March 22 on WB 35 (Time Warner ch. 7). The Rampage also will pick up an additional game later in the season that will be aired on a station to be determined.
Toms Summoned by Panthers: On Sunday, the Florida Panthers recalled center Jeff Toms. Toms paced the Rampage with eight points (1-7-8) through five games this year. The Swift Current, Saskatchewan, native has played in 228 career National Hockey League games with five different clubs tallying 20 goals and 31 assists.
Where They Stand: After five games the Rampage (1-4-0-0) are in fifth place in the West Division with a .200 winning percentage. Ahead of the Rampage sits Chicago (1-3-1-1), Utah (3-4-0-0), Milwaukee (3-0-2-0) and first place Houston (8-0-0-0).
Rampage vs. Aeros: San Antonio and Houston meet on Friday for the second time this year. The Rampage dropped the first game of Silver I-10 Gallon Hat series on October 26. Four different players scored goals for Houston, three of their tallies coming on the power play, as the Aeros skated to a 5-4 victory. The Rampage scored twice in the final frame to pull to within 5-4, but Houston held on for the win. The Rampage and the Aeros meet each other 10 more times after Friday night's contest, with Houston making their first trip Alamo City two days later as the Rampage make their home debut in the SBC Center on Sunday, November 3.
Aeros Scouting Report: The red hot Houston Aeros (8-0-0-0) remain as the only undefeated team in the AHL, outscoring their opponents 31-19. Houston is led by left-winger Jean-Guy Trudel who has notched eleven points in the club's first eight games. Defenseman Curtis Murphy and Lawrence Nycholat pace all Houston blue liners with six points.
Filip on Fire: After scoring two goals and adding an assist in his first three professional hockey games rookie blue liner Filip Novak continues to sizzle. Novak netted a goal and added two assists in the Rampage's 5-4 loss Saturday night at Houston.
Streaking Dagenais: Left Winger Pierre Dagenais scored a goal during the Rampage's 4-2 loss at Milwaukee on Wednesday before scoring a pair of goals in Saturday night's 5-4 loss at Houston. Dagenias finished the week 3-0-3 and has recorded at least one point in his last four games. He is currently tied with Filip Novak for the team lead in points with 4-2-6.
League Leaders: Filip Novak is tied for eighth among defenseman in scoring and is tied for ninth among rookies in scoring with six points. He also ranks second among defenseman in shooting percentage connecting on 27.3 percent (3-11) of his shots on goal.
Team Leaders: Center Jeff Toms, who was recalled by the Panthers on Sunday paces the Rampage with eight points (1G, 7A)...Rookie blue liner Filip Novak leads all defensemen with six points (3G, 3A)...Left Winger Pierre Dagenais leads the team with four goals and is tied with Novak with six points (4G, 2A)...Forwards Jim Campbell (2G, 3A) and Juraj Kolnik (2G, 2A) round out the top scorers.
Streaks: Jeff Toms has recorded at least one point in the each of the Rampage's first five games while Pierre Dagenias has recorded at least one point in San Antonio's last four games...Joey Tetarenko has recorded a point in the last two games.
Road Warriors: After opening the season in Milwaukee on October 12, San Antonio traveled to Utah for a pair of games October 18-19. The Rampage returned to Milwaukee for a game last Wednesday and finished the week out in Houston on Saturday. San Antonio will complete their six game road swing in Houston on November 1, before making their SBC Center debut on November 3. The Rampage also embark on a season high 12-game road trip that covers seven cities, 28 days and nearly 6,000 miles when the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and Rodeo visits the SBC Center in late January and mid-February.
The Panthers Den: The Florida Panthers (3-4-1-1) host the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday evening and then hit the road again for a game in Dallas on Wednesday night. The Panthers then head back home and host the Atlanta Thrashers Saturday night.
Down on the Farm: The Jackson Bandits (1-7-0) had trouble finding the win column last week losing all three games. The Laredo Bucks (1-4-0) recorded their first win in franchise history with 4-2 victory over the Lubbock CottonKings Saturday night after dropping their first four games of the season. Rampage prospect Eric Schneider leads the Bucks with five goals and six points and Dave Gove has two goals and two assists and is third on the team with four points.

2) DAGENAIS AND ULANOV RECALLED BY PANTHERS
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that right wing Pierre Dagenais and defenseman Igor Ulanov have been recalled by the Florida Panthers. At the same time the Rampage also announced that left wing Eric Beaudoin has been assigned to San Antonio.
Dagenais paced the Rampage with four goals through five games this season. The Blainville, Quebec, native has played in 51 career NHL games scoring 13 goals and six assists. He notched eight points (7-1-8) in 26 games for the Panthers last season after being acquired off waivers from New Jersey on Jan. 12, 2002.
Ulanov began the season with San Antonio and scored a goal in the Rampage's AHL debut in Milwaukee on October 12. He was recalled from San Antonio on October 13 and made his season debut with the Panthers on October 15. Ulanov played in 14 games for the Panthers last season, recording four assists. The 33-year-old defenseman has played 605 career NHL games for eight different teams, scoring 18 goals and 115 assists.
Beaudoin dressed for six of the Panthers' 10 games this season recording one assist. Last season, he split time between the Panthers and the Utah Grizzlies (AHL). The Ottawa, Ontario, native appeared in eight games with Florida notching one goal and three assists for four points. While with Utah, he played in 44 games recording five goals and 16 assists. Beaudion has played in 14 NHL games, all with the Panthers, recording one goal and three assists.

3) TOMS RECALLED BY PANTHERS
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that center, Jeff Toms, has been recalled by the Florida Panthers.
Toms, 28, paces the Rampage with eight points (1-7-8) through five games this year. He has recorded points in each of the Rampage's first five games, picking up a pair of assists in last night's 5-4 loss to Houston.
The Swift Current, Saskatchewan, native has played in 228 career National Hockey League games with five different clubs tallying 20 goals and 31 assists. 4) RAMPAGE ANNOUNCE TELEVISION SCHEDULE
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced their television schedule for the 2002-03 season.
The Rampage will televise five games this season, beginning with their SBC Center debut on November 3, against their intrastate rivals the Houston Aeros on Fox Sports Net. The remaining four games on December 14, January 11, March 8, and March 22 will be broadcasted on WB 35 (Time Warner ch. 7). The Rampage also will pick up an additional game later in the season that will be aired on a station to be determined.
"The Rampage are really excited about teaming up with Fox Sports Net and WB 35 this year to televise our inaugural season in the AHL," said Lawrence Payne, Spurs Senior Vice President of Broadcasting. "With Fox Sports Net and WB 35 televising the games, the broadcast quality will be top notch."
The "Voice of the Rampage" Andrew Monaco will handle the play-by-play action during the broadcasts, while San Antonio hockey great Brian Shantz will provide the color commentary. Rampage studio host Barry Besse will fill in for Monaco and call the game on the Rampage's flagship station KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM.

Dave Morisset and Juraj Kolnik added late third period tallies as San Antonio edged Utah, 5-4, for their first win in franchise history. Morisset snapped a 3-3 tie with 4:57 remaining in the contest and Kolnik added his second marker of the season 34 seconds later for the eventual game-winner. Filip Novak tied the score at 1-1 seven minutes into the first period and retied it at 3-3 nearly five minutes into the third for San Antonio. Chris Mason stopped 30 of 34 shots for the win. Jon Sim, who finished with three assists, cut Utah's deficit to a goal with 45 seconds left in the contest.
Saturday, October 19 @ Utah Grizzlies 3-5 L
Marc-Andre Thinel and Eric Landry both scored late in the third period to lead the Utah Grizzlies over the San Antonio Rampage, 5-3. Thinel snapped a 3-3 tie with 8:30 remaining in the contest and Landry added his first goal of the year four and a half minutes later. Jon Sim and Gavin Morgan both had a goal and an assist for Utah, which snapped a three-game losing streak. Jason Bacashihua finished with 35 saves to improve to 1-1-0. Jeff Toms scored a power-play goal midway through the second period and assisted on a marker in the third by Pierre Daganais for San Antonio, which finished just 1-for-6 on the power play.
Where They Stand: After three games the Rampage (1-2-0-0) are in fourth place in the West Division with a .333 winning percentage. Ahead of the Rampage sits Chicago (1-1-1-0), Milwaukee (1-0-1-0) and first place Houston (5-0-0-0), while Utah (1-3-0-0) trails San Antonio.
Rampage vs. Aeros: San Antonio battles their intrastate foes in their first regular season meeting on Saturday night. The Rampage dropped a pair of pre-season contests to the Aeros in early October, by the score of 4-3 and 4-1. San Antonio and Houston battle one another 12 times this season, with the Rampage hosting the Aeros in their SBC Center debut on November 3.
A Total Team Effort: In their 5-4 win over the Utah Grizzlies on Friday night, 11 different players recorded a mark on the score sheet for the Rampage.

6) RAMPAGE EARN FIRST WIN IN FRANCHISE HISTORY

7) REIERSON JOINS RAMPAGE BLUE LINE
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that they have signed defenseman Andy Reierson to a professional try-out.
Reierson, 24, completed his senior season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth last year, ranking first among Bulldog blue liners in goals (16), assists (19) and points (35), while being named to the WCHA First All-Star team. Throughout his four-year collegiate career he registered 30 goals, 49 assists and 100 penalty minutes.
The Moorhead, Minnesota, native spent training camp with the Springfield Falcons (AHL) before joining the Rampage. He is expected to be in the line-up this weekend when the Rampage play a pair of contests against the Utah Grizzlies on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

8) ULANOV REASSIGNED BY PANTHERS
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that the Florida Panthers have reassigned defenseman Igor Ulanov.
Ulanov, 33, appeared in the Panthers' 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild last night. He has played in 605 NHL games for eight different teams, scoring 18 goals and 115 assists for 133 points. Ulanov began his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1991-92, and is entering his 12th season in the league.
The native of Krasnokamsk, Russia, dressed for the Rampage's AHL debut against the Milwaukee Admirals on October 12, notching the second goal of the game.
The Rampage (0-1-0-0) travel to Utah this weekend for a pair of contests against the Grizzlies on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. All Rampage regular season and playoff games can be heard on KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM.

Saturday, October 12 @ Milwaukee Admirals 6-2 L In their AHL debut last weekend the San Antonio Rampage fell to the Milwaukee Admirals. Six different players scored goals for Milwaukee, three of their tallies coming on the power play, as the Admirals skated to their first win of the 2002-03 campaign. The Rampage would score twice in the final frame to pull to within 3-2, but Milwaukee closed out the contest with three unanswered goals late in the game. Rampage netminder Wade Flaherty made 35 saves in the losing effort.
On the Road Again: The Rampage travel to West Valley City for a pair of games this weekend against their divisional rivals the Utah Grizzlies. The Grizzlies opened their season last weekend in Houston dropping a pair of games to the Aeros.
Rampage vs. Grizzlies: San Antonio and Utah will meet one another a total of eight times this year, splitting the series between the SBC Center and the "E" Center. The Grizzlies make their first trip to South Texas for a pair of games on December 11th and 13th. The Rampage and the Grizzlies remain as the only two teams in the West Division who have yet to record a victory.
Familiar Faces: Ryan Jardine, Serge Payer, Josh Olson, Paul Elliott, Kyle Rossiter, Vladimir Sapozhnikov and Wade Flaherty all played for the Grizzlies last season. Jardine finished the 2001-02 campaign tied for seventh on the Grizzlies with 32 points, while Flaherty ranked eighth among AHL goaltenders with a 2.35 GAA.
First Impressions: After joining the Rampage on Saturday morning from the New York Islanders in a trade for Sven Butenschon, Juraj Kolnik scored the first goal in Rampage regular season history at 3:29 of the third period when he tapped his own rebound past Milwaukee goaltender Jan Lasak.
Ulanov Recalled by Panthers: On Sunday, the Panthers recalled Igor Ulanov after Florida defenseman Branislav Mezei suffered a broken ankle in their 5-4 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday night. Ulanov, who has appeared in 604 NHL contests, tallied the second goal for the Rampage in their AHL debut last weekend.
Toms Tallies Two: Center Jeff Toms recorded the only assists on the two Rampage goals scored this past weekend. Toms, who has played in a total of 117 AHL contests and has notched 46 goals and 66 assists.
Rampage Announce Dual Affiliation: On Monday the Rampage announced a dual affiliation with the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League and the Jackson Bandits of the East Coast Hockey League. As a result, the Rampage assigned defenseman Michel Periard, center David Gove and forward Eric Schneider to Laredo, while right wings Sean O'Connor and Gaetan Royer, center Scott Kelman, and goaltender Tyrone Garner were assigned to Jackson.
Grizzlies Scouting Report: Utah completed the 2001-02 campaign with a 40-29-6-5 record good for third place in the West Division and fifth overall in the Western Conference. Although the Grizzlies exited quickly from the 2002 Calder Cup playoffs after being knocked out in the conference quarterfinals by the Houston Aeros. Jim Montgomery, the club's leading scorer returns for his second season in Utah. Last year, Montgomery scored 71 points for Utah ranking him among the AHL's top 10 in scoring. On the blue line Greg Hawgood returns, he finished last season ranked tied for first among AHL blue liners with 61 points. The Grizzlies' also have several highly regarded young players in the line-up, including Steve Ott, Dallas' first round pick in 2000 and goaltender Jason Bacashihua who was the Star's top pick in 2001.

The Rampage also embark on a season high 12-game road trip that covers seven cities, 28 days and nearly 6,000 miles when the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and Rodeo visits the SBC Center in late January and mid-February.
The Panthers Den: The Florida Panthers (1-0-0-1) open a three game road trip that begins tonight against the Minnesota Wild. They will travel to Chicago on Thursday night to face the Blackhawks and then visit Ohio on Saturday for a game against the Blue Jackets.

10) RAMPAGE ANNOUNCE DUAL AFFILIATION WITH JACKSON AND LAREDO
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced a dual affiliation agreement with the Jackson Bandits of the East Coast Hockey League and Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League.
As a result, the Rampage have assigned defenseman Michel Periard, center David Gove and forward Eric Schneider to Laredo, while right wings Sean O'Connor and Gaetan Royer, center Scott Kelman, and goaltender Tyrone Garner have been assigned to Jackson.
The Rampage (0-1-0-0) travel to Utah for a pair of contests against the Grizzlies on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. All Rampage regular season and playoff games can be heard on KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM.

11) ULANOV RECALLED BY PANTHERS
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that the Florida Panthers have recalled defenseman Igor Ulanov, after defenseman Branislav Mezei suffered a broken ankle in a Panther's 5-4 overtime victory against the Atlanta Thrashers.
Ulanov was reassigned to the San Antonio on October 8 and appeared in the Rampage's AHL debut. He tallied the second goal of the game, as the Rampage fell to the Milwaukee Admirals 6-2.
Last season, the 33-year old defenseman played 14 games for the Panthers and recorded four assists. He has played 604 career NHL games for eight different teams, scoring 18 goals and 115 assists for 133 points. Ulanov began his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1991-92, and is entering his 12th season in the league.
The Rampage (0-1-0-0) travel to Utah next weekend for a pair of contests against the Grizzlies on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. All Rampage regular season and playoff games can be heard on KTKR "The Ticket" 760 AM.

12) RAMPAGE SUFFER SETBACK IN AHL DEBUT
In their American Hockey League regular season debut the San Antonio Rampage suffered a 6-2 defeat to the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Greg Koehler put the Admirals on the board first when he banged a rebound past Rampage netminder Wade Flaherty at 6:56 of the opening period. Less than three minutes later, Milwaukee opened up a two goal lead when San Antonio defenseman Paul Elliott lost control of the puck in his end of the ice. Admirals center Darren Haydar picked up the loose puck and hit Mitch Fritz with a perfect pass that he buried behind Flaherty at 9:36.
In the middle frame, Milwaukee added to their lead when the Admirals cashed in on their second power play opportunity of the evening. Wyatt Smith took a pass from Peter Smrek and unleashed a shot that beat Flaherty and gave the Admirals a 3-0 pad after 40 minutes of play.
Ina wide open final period of play the Admirals and the Rampage combined for five goals. Newly acquired Juraj Kolnik foiled Jan Lasak's shutout bid when he recorded the first goal in Rampage regular season history on a shot that deflected off of Lasak's arm. Igor Ulanov cut the Admirals lead to just one when he took a feed from Jeff Toms and snapped a shot past Lasak at 10:47. The Rampage would get no closer as Milwaukee responded by scoring the final three goals of the period, earning their first victory of the 2002-03 campaign.
Flaherty turned away 35 of 41 shots in the loss, while Lasak stopped 28 of 30 for the victory. Milwaukee converted on three of eight power play opportunities, while San Antonio failed to score on four chances.
The Rampage continue their six game road swing with a pair of games against the Utah Grizzlies on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Face-off for both games is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

13) KOLNIK ASSIGNED TO SAN ANTONIO
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that the Florida Panthers have acquired right wing Juraj Kolnik and a ninth-round selection in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft from the New York Islanders in exchange for defenseman Sven Butenschon.
Kolnik, a native of Nitra, Slovakia, has played in 36 games with the National Hockey League's New York Islanders recording six goals and three assists. Last season, Kolnik played in seven games with the Islanders, while also appearing in 67 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He tallied 48 points (18 goals, 30 assists) in the regular season and 21 points (7 goals, 14 assists) in 20 playoff games, guiding the Sound Tigers to the Calder Cup Finals. He will join the Rampage for their game in Milwaukee.
The Rampage begin their inaugural season in the AHL when they travel to Milwaukee and battle the Admirals at the Bradley Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:12 p.m. All Rampage regular season and playoff games can be heard on "The Ticket" 760 AM.

Drop the Puck: The Rampage open their inaugural season in the American Hockey League on Saturday night when they travel to Milwaukee and battle the Admirals. San Antonio plays their first six games on the road, before making their SBC Center debut on November 3 against their intrastate rivals the Houston Aeros.
Rampage vs. Admirals: San Antonio and Milwaukee both play in the West Division and will meet one another a total of 10 times this season, splitting the series between the SBC Center and the Bradley Center.
Preseason Primers: The Rampage traveled to Houston this past weekend and met the Aeros in a pair of contests. Houston swept the weekend set as they defeated the Rampage 4-3 on Friday night and 4-1 on Saturday evening.
Blueliners Tally: Defenseman accounted for all four of the Rampage's goals in last weekend's contests. Kyle Rossiter scored the first ever goal in Rampage pre-season history when he snapped a shot past Aeros netminder Dieter Kochan in the first period of Friday night's affair. Paul Elliott also picked up a goal on Friday night, while Matt Smith netted goals in both games.
Welcome Wade: Veteran goaltender Wade Flaherty was assigned to the Rampage on Saturday. Flaherty, has appeared in 119 National Hockey League contests for the San Jose Sharks (1991-97), New York Islanders (1997-2001), Tampa Bay Lightning (2000-01) and Florida Panthers (2001-02). Throughout his 13-year professional career he has played in 459 games recoding 194 victories and a 3.36 goals against average.
Ulanov Added to Blue Line: On Tuesday, the Panther s assigned veteran blue liner Igor Ulanov to the Rampage. Ulanov, 33, has appeared in 604 National Hockey League contests, recording 18 goals, 115 assists and 1055 penalty minutes. Throughout his 11-year professional career he has played with eight different NHL teams. The 6-3, 220 pound blue liner, posted NHL career highs in assists (20) and points (23) as a member of the Edmonton Oilers during the 2000-01 campaign.
Key Additions: Forwards Jeff Toms, Jim Campbell, Rocky Thompson and defenseman Sven Butenschon all joined the Rampage this week after clearing last Friday's waiver draft. Both Campbell and Toms have competed in over 200 NHL games, while Butenschon ranked 11th among AHL defenseman in scoring last season. Thompson, known for his rugged play along the boards and in the corners has amassed over 750 penalty minutes in his five year playing career.
Admirals Scouting Report: Milwaukee is coming off a disappointing 2001-02 campaign after finishing the season in last place in the West Division with a 30-35-10-5 record. During the off-season the Admirals hired Peter Horachek, hoping to turn things around in Milwaukee. Horachek, 42, has tasted success both as a player and a coach, winning a Turner Cup championship (IHL) while team captain of the Flint Generals in 1984 and as the head coach of the Orlando Solar Bears in 2001. Look for free agent acquisition forward Cameron Mann to make things happen on the Milwaukee offensive front. Mann finished third on the Utah Grizzlies last season recording 51 points in 61 games. On the blue line look for Bubba Berenzweig to make things happen. Berenzweig, appeared in 26 games with Nashville (NHL) last season notching three goals and seven assists, while also playing in 23 games with the Admirals.
Milwaukee Connections: Rampage netminder Chris Mason spent the past four seasons in Milwaukee, earning 69 victories during his stint with the Admirals.
The Panthers Den: The Florida Panthers open the 2002-03 season tonight with a game against their intrastate rivals the Tampa Lightning at 7:30 p.m. at the Office Depot Center. Florida travels to Atlanta on Saturday night, to begin a four game road swing.

16) VETERAN NETMINDER JOINS RAMPAGE
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that the Florida Panthers have assigned goaltender Wade Flaherty.
Flaherty, 34, has appeared in 119 National Hockey League contests for the San Jose Sharks (1991-97), New York Islanders (1997-2001), Tampa Bay Lightning (2000-01) and Florida Panthers (2001-02). Last year, he played in four games with the Panthers going 2-1-1 with a 2.94 goals against average, while also appearing in 45 games with Utah (AHL) posting a 22-13-5 mark.
Throughout his 13-year professional career he has also played for the East Coast Hockey League's Greensboro Monarchs (1989-90), the International Hockey League's Kansas City Blades (1990-1994), the AHL's Kentucky Thoroughblades (1996-97), the IHL's Utah Grizzlies (1997-98) and the AHL's Lowell Lockmonsters (1998-99). Flaherty along with teammate Arturs Irbe shared the James Norris Trophy after the pair allowed an IHL low 220 goals against during the 1991-92 campaign, as a member of the Turner Cup Champion Kansas City Blades. He was twice selected to the IHL's second All Star team (1993 & 1994), and was named the ECHL's playoff most valuable player in 1990, when the Greensboro Monarchs captured the Riley Cup title.

17) DAGENAIS AND HYVONEN ADDED TO RAMPAGE ROSTER
The San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League announced that the Florida Panthers have assigned right wings Pierre Dagenais and Hannes Hyvonen.
Dagenais, 24, split last season playing for both the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers and the New Jersey Devils, recording 10 goals and four assists. The native of Blainville, Quebec, has played in a total of 51 NHL contests throughout his four-year pro career, tallying 16 goals and six assists.
Hyvonen, 27, completed his first professional season in North America last year appearing in 67 games with the Cleveland Barons (AHL) and six games with the NHL's San Jose Sharks. The Oulu, Finland, native finished second on the Barons with 24 goals and seventh with 42 points.
Both Dagenais and Hyvonen maybe claimed in the NHL waiver draft that begins Friday, October 4 at Noon.
San Antonio travels to Houston for a pair of pre-season contests against the Aeros on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 at the Aerodrome Ice Skating Complex in Sugar Land at 7:30 p.m.
