Rampage Add Passineau and Walker to Hockey Staff

SAN ANTONIO (August 3, 2011) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has named Steve Passineau as the team's equipment manager and Chris Walker as the Rampage's athletic trainer.

Passineau joins the Rampage from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL where he spent the 2010-11 season serving as the head equipment manager. Prior to joining the Everblades, Passineau spent four seasons as the assistant equipment manager with the Albany River Rats (AHL). Passineau's experience also includes time as the head equipment manager of the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football 2 league from 2008-09. Passineau first worked with the River Rats from 2003-2006 while attending Hudson Valley Community College as the locker room attendant.

Walker joins the Rampage from the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League (WHL) where he spent the past four seasons serving as the head athletic trainer. Prior to joining the Silvertips, Walker spent the 2006-07 season working as the assistant athletic trainer for the New Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League (CHL). While completing his master's degree at the University of New Mexico, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer (2005-07) where he worked with various programs. A native of St. Paul, Minn., Walker spent 2004-05 completing a season-long internship with the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA) and also interned with the St. Paul Saints Baseball Cub (2004). As an undergrad at St. Cloud University, he worked with both the men's and the women's ice hockey teams as well as with their football and basketball teams.
