TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers (64-68) dropped their home finale to the El Paso Chihuahuas (79-53) by a final score of 1-0 on Monday night at Cheney Stadium.

First baseman Gordon Beckham (2x4) collected a pair of singles, representing the Rainiers only multi-hit performance of the night. Catcher David Freitas (1x4), third baseman Seth Mejias-Brean (1x3), and shortstop Zach Vincej (1x3) all collected hits.

Rainiers starting pitcher Christian Bergman (8-10) continued his years-long run of success against the Chihuahuas, allowing just one run on four hits across 5.2 innings of work. His career ERA against El Paso now stands at a miniscule 0.96. Bergman issued two walks and struck out seven on 91 pitches.

Tacoma's bullpen contributed four innings of shutdown relief - Marc Rzepczynski (0.2 IP), Dan Altavilla (0.1 IP), Justin Grimm (1.1 IP), and Chasen Bradford (1.0 IP) combined to hold the Chihuahuas scoreless on just one hit over the remainder.

The Rainiers next will set out on their final road trip of the season, beginning with a three-game set at the Las Vegas 51s that kicks off on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. PT. Tacoma left-hander David Rollins (0-1, 6.55) will get the start opposite Las Vegas right-hander Drew Gagnon (5-6, 5.04).
