TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers season-high 10-game winning streak came to close after falling to the Reno Aces 7-0 at Cheney Stadium on Saturday.

Aces starter Charles Brewer held the Rainiers to three hits and struck out four over 8.0 scoreless innings on the way to ending Tacoma's longest winning streak since 2008.

Reno busted the game open with five runs on six hits over the game's first three innings. Third baseman Matt Davidson's two-run double in the first put the Aces on the scoreboard, and first baseman Kila Ka'iahue rounded out the barrage of runs with a solo homer in the third.

The Rainiers ended the night recording just three hits, with Nate Tenbrink, Alex Liddi and Carlos Triunfel each collecting singles.

Starter Blake Beavan (0-1) was dealt the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits over 5.0 innings in his first appearance since being optioned to Tacoma on May 1.

The Rainiers (19-11) play the third game of the team's four-game series against Reno (10-20) at 1:30 p.m., tomorrow, May 5. Left-hander Jimmy Gillheeney (1-0, 0.00) is scheduled to start for Tacoma against left-hander Tyler Skaggs (2-3, 6.15) for the Aces.
