Rain Stops Game In Fifth With IronBirds In Front

Aberdeen, MD - The Aberdeen IronBirds and Hudson Valley Renegades contest Sunday night was stopped due to rain in the bottom of the fifth inning with the IronBirds in front, 3-1.

The game is official, but the Renegades have filed a protest with the New York-Penn League in an effort to try and play a full nine innings. Final word on the protest was expected at any time.

Currently, the IronBirds are scheduled to conclude the season with a 2:35 p.m. first pitch tomorrow afternoon against the Renegades. Brian Gonzalez is scheduled to start for Aberdeen.
