Frederick Keys News Release
Frederick defeated Potomac in a rain-shortened six-inning game to claim the opener of their four-game series at Pfitzner Stadium 4-1. It is the fourth time in seven days the Keys have had a game effected by rain. Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed and will be remade in a doubleheader Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
The Keys grabbed the lead on the second pitch of the game. CF Trent Mummey, making his return from the disabled list, homered to right field to put Frederick atop 1-0. It was the second consecutive game that the Keys leadoff batter in the first inning hit a home run.
