
Rain Halts Power Shutout

Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
(Charleston, WV- July 10, 2014)- Thursday evening's West Virginia Power game with the Greensboro Grasshoppers was suspended in the top half of the fifth inning due to unplayable grounds. West Virginia held a 3-0 lead when play was halted.
The Power raced out to the early advantage when Michael Fransoso blasted a solo home run in the first inning. In the third, the Power pushed two more across behind RBI base knocks from JaCoby Jones and Edwin Espinal.
The game will be resumed at 6:05 pm on Friday night at Appalachian Power Park. The regularly scheduled game will be played to seven innings 30 minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game. For tickets or more information, call 304-344-BATS or visit www.wvpower.com.
