Hill City Howlers News Release
Rain forced Thursday night's Lynchburg-Frederick series finale to be cancelled after four innings of play at City Stadium. The game will not be made up. Lynchburg will begin a three-game weekend series with Kinston at Grainger Stadium Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Thursday's game between the Hillcats and Keys had the makings of a pitchers' duel each team failing to score through the first four innings. The rain began to fall in the bottom of the fourth inning, but play was not halted until after the inning was completed. The game was tied 0-0 through four innings at the time of the cancellation.
The Hillcats open a six-game road trip at Kinston on Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
