
RailCats Sign Veteran Outfielder Sean Henry

AMARILLO, Texas - The RailCats signed veteran utility player Sean Henry on Sunday. Henry began the season with Kansas City in the American Association, hitting .288 with a homer and eight RBI in 12 games before being released on June 1.
The former 20th Round pick of the New York Mets in 2004 has spent time in the Mets, Reds and Braves organizations, reaching Triple-A with the Reds in 2010. Henry, 26, is a career .285 hitter with a .355 on-base percentage. Henry has stolen 140 career bases. He split last season between the Road Warriors in the Atlantic League and the Braves Double-A affiliate, hitting .306 with four homers and 32 RBI.
The RailCats roster is now at the league maximum of 22 as they enter tonight's series finale at the Amarillo Sox at 6:05. Henry will bat fifth and be the DH for the RailCats tonight.
